GEOTHERMAL
A Geothermal heating/cooling system uses the solar energy that is stored in the ground to heat and cool your home. The sun’s energy warms the ground and the earth’s temperature remains a constant 55 degrees at approximately 6 feet below the surface. A complete system consists of a Geothermal Heat Pump, duct work and pipes that are buried in the ground. The underground pipes have liquid circulating through them that absorb heat from the ground. That heat is brought into the Heat Pump that then distributes the heat throughout your house. Cooling your home consists of extracting the heat from inside your house and bringing it out through the pipes. This heat is absorbed into the earth and in return the pipes bring in cooler liquid to cool your house.
